Arden Motorsport head for Oulton Park as GB3 Championship resumes

Red Arrows on the silverware hunt in Cheshire.

Arden Motorsport has a return to the podium in its sightsas the team travels north to Oulton Park, Cheshire in the GB3 Championship thisweekend (11-12 September).

The Red Arrows have enjoyed a strong debut campaign in theUK’s premier tier of single seater competition this season, including two racevictories, five podium finishes and a top-three position in the inaugural Teams’Championship.

With Roman Bilinski fired up in pursuit of more silverwareafter a difficult Silverstone meeting, and Frederick Lubin on the road to fullfitness following illness, the Banbury-based team arrive at the 2.6-mileCheshire venue in high spirits.

Characterised by its high-speed, flowing nature, with verylittle margin for error, Oulton Park is a circuit beloved by drivers. Qualifyingwill be crucial, as the circuit’s narrow nature does not lend to an easyovertake.

Although the team are yet to race in GB3 around Oulton Parkitself, both Bilinski and Lubin have a positive track record there in the lowercategories and enjoyed two positive days of pre-event testing on Thursday andFriday.

The team’s first competitive action comes in the form ofqualifying at 11:15 (BST) on Saturday morning, ahead of the opening race at14:25 that afternoon.

Sunday features another double-header at 12:25 and 15:40respectively, with both races streamed live on GB3’s YouTube channel and socialmedia platforms.

Gary Ward, Arden GB3 Team Manager said:

“Oulton Park always produces a really competitive weekend ofracing, so we’ll need to be at our best to hit the front this time out in theGB3 Championship.

“Both Roman and Frederick have worked through our programmesin testing very nicely, and their pace looks very positive heading intoqualifying tomorrow.

“The ultimate objective for us, of course, is to have twocars fighting up at the front and hopefully bringing back some silverware.”

Roman Bilinski (#4) said:

““I’m really excited to get back behind the wheel and returnto racing in the GB3 Championship at Oulton Park this weekend.

“It’s a proper ‘driver’s circuit’, with some reallychallenging, high-speed corners, so it’s been really crucial to prepareproperly and make sure I’ve maximised pre-event testing to ensure we can hitthe ground running from tomorrow.

“The aim, as always, is to be out front and fighting forvictories and podium finishes. We’ve had plenty of success so far this season, but that only adds to my motivation to go out and enjoy more of the same.

“The team will provide me with a fantastic car as always, and I’m confident in my own ability, so now we just need to put those elementstogether and I’m sure it’ll be a good weekend.”

Frederick Lubin (#78) said:

“I’m really looking forward to Oulton Park this weekend. After some time off, I feel much healthier and more like my usual self.
