Arden Motorsport is pleased to welcome back Roman Bilinski as the Polish racer prepares to make his debut in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship at Donington Park this weekend (10-11 July).
The 17-year-old from Lechlade made his single seater debut with the Banbury-based team back in 2020, scoring three outright podiums in British Formula 4 and demonstrating remarkable consistency, including points finishes in all but three of the 26 races.
His return to the Red Arrows for what is currently a one-off outing in the UK’s premier motorsport series at Donington Park comes at a strong time for the team, having scored their first podium finish in the series courtesy of Alex Connor last time out at Silverstone.
The team also have a one-hundred percent record for points finishes across a two-car effort thus far, with Frederick Lubin – another of Bilinski’s old team-mates from F4 last season – also acquitting himself well on his and the team’s step into Formula 3.
Unfortunately, Lubin will be unable to race on medical advice this weekend, but the whole team looks forward to welcoming him back at Spa-Francorchamps in a fortnight.
The fast, sweeping 2.4-mile GP circuit at Donington Park, Leicestershire, will provide a stern test for Bilinski’s first F3 outing as he looks to gain experience ahead of a possible future graduation into the category.
Gary Ward, Arden British F3 Team Manager said:
“Everybody is really pleased to welcome Roman back to the team for this weekend’s BRDC British Formula 3 event at Donington Park.
“We know all about him as a driver, and he’s obviously got a very solid relationship with the rest of the team from his time with us in Formula 4 last season.
“We’re happy to provide him with this opportunity to make the step up and give Formula 3 a go, and hopefully he’ll find it an enjoyable and instructive experience.”
Roman Bilinski said:
“I’m really looking forward to making my debut in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship this weekend.
“It’s a good chance for me to gain more experience at a higher level, and I’m already familiar with a lot of the drivers I’ll be racing against from Formula 4 and Ginetta Juniors.
“We’re not setting any expectations for the weekend, it’s all about going out, learning the circuit, the car and enjoying the experience. A big thanks to everybody who has made this opportunity possible.”
