ARDEN’S ALEX QUINN TO RACE IN THE US WITH VELOCITY RACING DEVELOPMENT

AS VRD AND ARDEN MOTORSPORT ANNOUNCE TRANSATLANTIC COLLABORATION

VRD and Arden are delighted to announce that Alex Quinn be joining VRD at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the next event weekend in the USF2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires. Young Racing Driver Academy (YRDA) graduate and Arden-managed Quinn will make his North American debut at the world’s most iconic race facility.

As part of a wider transatlantic collaboration between the teams, VRD driver and FR Americas Powered by Honda front-runner Nico Christodoulou will look to travel to Europe later this season to compete in the BRDC GB3 Championship with Arden. VRD Academy drivers will also have the opportunity to join Arden’s testing program with a view to focus on future European endeavours and the unique link also opens the door to testing and racing opportunities in the US with VRD for Arden’s YRDA squad.

Continuing to expand by competing in four different open wheel series in North America, Velocity Racing Development (VRD) is pushing forward to make their presence around the world. Leading international team Arden, celebrating its 25anniversary this year, is looking to build on its great success in UK and international Championships, by establishing the Arden brand in North American racing.

“This has been in the works for quite some time, and this will not only allow both VRD and Arden to have a presence in different countries, but it will also allow our drivers to compete seamlessly around the world,” explained Dan Mitchell. “We are beginning these efforts immediately and will see a new driver compete under the VRD banner in our USF2000 efforts, while one of our drivers will head overseas to compete in GB3 race weekends later this season.”

Arden’s CEO Garry Horner commented, “We have been very impressed with the VRD team and its drivers’ development in the US under Dan’s leadership. Linking with VRD provides a unique global motorsport platform for Arden and YRDA drivers as well as those in Dan’s squad, and we are looking forward to exploring the on and off-track possibilities that this exciting and unique collaboration will present.”
