Arden Motorsport aim to maintain fine form at Oulton Park

Red Arrows keen to keep up the momentum heading to Cheshire

Arden Motorsport’s Red Arrows are aiming to continue their fine form in the British F4 championship as they head to Oulton Park this weekend [22-23 August].

After charging to a maiden series victory to start his campaign in style at Donington Park before securing a brace of podiums the following weekend at Brands Hatch, Alex Connor is eyeing a return to the top step of the podium at Oulton Park.

Returning to the Brands Hatch GP circuit last time out – where he scored a maiden pole and podium at the end of 2019 – Connor collected a solid points haul across the trio of contests with two podiums and fourth in race two.

As a result, the YRDA-backed racer currently sits third in the Drivers’ Standings after kicking off his title challenge with strong momentum in his sophomore season.

Roman Bilinski displayed impressive consistency at Brands Hatch, scoring plenty of points across the trio of races and taking his best ever series result in the final race.

Moving forwards in all three races in Kent before capping off his weekend with a personal best result of fifth, the Ginetta graduate will be hoping for further progress this weekend in Cheshire.

Frederick Lubin is eager to bounce back from a testing weekend at Brands Hatch and add to his points tally after he recovered to the points-paying positions in race three last time out, placing second in the Rookie Cup category.

He currently occupies fourth in the highly-competitive Rookie Cup standings, and is hoping to replicate the promising pace he displayed at the season-opening Donington Park round in this weekend’s triple-header.

Competitive action in Cheshire gets underway on Saturday at 09:05 with qualifying, followed by the opening race of the weekend that afternoon at 14:15.

Sunday features a double-header of British F4 races with race two at 13:00 and the finale at 17:45, with the action shown live on ITV’s free-to-air television coverage.

Arden British F4 Team Manager Gary Ward:

“We did a really great job as a team in the back-to-back weekends to start the season and have now regrouped before Oulton Park.

“We’re looking to continue the great momentum that we’ve started our season with, and Alex is really keen to get back on the top step of the podium.

“I’m sure we’ll see Roman and Frederick make even more progress, they’ve been really impressive so far. We’re really looking forward to this weekend!”

Alex Connor (#27):

"Oulton Park is another circuit which I enjoy, it is quite challenging but you can overtake, so I am hoping we will get some great races.

“Of course I will be wanting three wins, but I also know that consistency is very important for the championship race so I will need to race with my head.”

Roman Bilinski (#55):

“Everything turned out well at Brands Hatch and I got my best result, so I can’t wait for Oulton Park this weekend.

“It’s quite a complicated track so there’s a lot to consider. My focus is to learn and bring back more good points.”

Frederick Lubin (#78):

“I’m really looking forward to driving at Oulton Park this weekend. We managed to finish in the points in the last race at Brands Hatch which was a positive way to sign off our weekend.

“It’s quite narrow so it’s again hard to overtake but it should be better than Brands and hopefully we’ll pick up some more points.”
