Arden Motorsport have confirmed English rising star Leon Wilson will compete in the 2024 GB4 championship partnered by the BRDC.
The 16-year-old from Yorkshire has progressed from Arden's partner company, the Young Racing Driver Academy, to debut in the single-seater championship.
Wilson began his motorsport journey with karting at seven years old, and then progressed on to become a member of the YRDA in 2022.
More recently, Wilson has prepared for the upcoming season by putting together a strong winter test programme with the Banbury based squad.
Arden Motorsport founder Garry Horner said:
"We are excited to be expanding our presence into the GB4 Championship. This gives us the opportunity to further develop our Young Racing Driver Academy members and give them a platform to climb their motorsport career with us. Having worked closely with Leon across the past two years, we are looking forward to seeing him translate his strong testing form into competition."
Steve Hutchinson, driver coach of Leon Wilson at the YRDA, said:
"I am hugely looking forward to working with Leon in the GB4 Championship having tested with him last year. He is an exciting prospect and everyone at the YRDA were impressed with how quickly he has progressed from the simulator to testing in the car. The whole team are looking forward to his debut."
The 2024 season is due to start with the first official test taking place at Oulton Park Circuit on 5th-6th March and the first race weekend on the 30th March - 1st April.
